According to the Center for Disease Control, one in 88 children have a diagnosis of autism. Autism is no respecter of persons, affecting people in all ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic groups. In an effort to raise awareness and to support our local autism focused groups, we are hosting the second annual two-day event, Bucking For A Cause, January 10th and 11th, 2014 at the Columbus Civic Center.

Bucking For A Cause is a bull riding event involving the Professional Bull Riders Association (PBR). The event will not only include bull riding, but also games and prizes throughout the duration, Faith Night, where a wild horse will be broken, and military appreciation night.

Locally, it is believed that there are more than 2,000 families currently with a child with autism. John is one of those children. One of John's  favorite pastimes is watching the PBR, learning the names of the riders and the bulls, along with all of their statistics. This passion for bull riding and his willingness to share it with others sparked a flame in us to do something to help those local families affected by autism. In honor of John and all those local families, Bucking For A Cause strives to support them through this event.

We would love for you to be a part of Bucking For A Cause.
